Mika is a graduate of Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan and a veteran of the United States Navy. Although she's a huge fan of hair and fashion, she holds degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics. She is also the mother of two beautiful children.

Mika became involved in the fashion industry during her last two years in college. She worked as a model and photograper while juggling classes and motherhood. Mika became interested in wigs when discovering her own hairloss, which was caused by the anemia she developed after having her second child. Since her hair was thinning she went through various hairstyles until her last bad haircut. Her hair was cut so bad that she decided to start wearing wigs. She fell in love with her very first Lace Front Wig and decided to help make these wigs more accessible to women with the same hair issues as herself.

Since recovering from her hairloss, Mika fell in love with her wigs so much that she continues to wear them even with a head full of hair. Today, Mika designs and produce wigs as a Certified Wig Specialist. She continues to challenge herself daily by helping other women eliminate their own "bad hair days."
